Human Eye Camera by Georg Milde

For the HUMAN EYE CAMERA I started to compare the human eye to a camera. I found a lot of analogies in terms of optic and arrangement. But the brain struck me as the most important difference. It turns the image of our eye arround, it straightens out the image and it expands our field of view with our memories.

The concept needed following features:
taking several shots of one object at the same time :
- with different depth settings (multi depth focus in one image)
- with different light settings (high dynamic range image)
- with different angles (stitching)

The solution was the TRI SENSOR PRISM CORE. It spreads the light coming into the “eye” onto three arrangeble sensors. The position and the features of the sensors would alter the image according to the different modes creating images that could never be made with convenient lenses.
